CINCHSEAL is a unique and problem-solving sealing device designed to seal powders and slurries on process equipment.
Regular gland packing seals and lip seals have created lots of issues – product leakage/product loss, product contamination, maintenance burden, production downtime, shaft damage, bearing failure, and hazardous environment.
CINCHSEAL is an effective shaft seal that eliminates product leakage/product loss, eliminates housekeeping issues, prevents bearing and equipment failure, and downtime.

Benefits of CINCHSEAL
- Cost savings: Factors like eliminating product waste, unscheduled maintenance costs and downtime, premature bearing failure, and shaft damage add up to an impressive ROI.
- FDA Approved: The parts used in making our seals are FDA approved for food contact.
- No Damage to Shaft: CinchSeal unique design eliminates any chance of damaging the rotating shafts like you see with traditional gland packing and lip seals.
- Runout: Our seals can handle up to ¼” (6.35mm) shaft runout without losing sealing on the shaft.
- Health and Safety: Our seals prevent powder and dust leakage that can cause hazardous work environment and explosion.
- Repairable: Our seals are designed to be rebuilt with an inexpensive repair kit.

CINCHSEAL consists of three parts:
- Silicone Elastomer Boot
Grips and seals the shaft without damaging or wearing the shaft
Drives the wearable PTFE seal faces
Can withstand temperature up to 218 C
FDA approved – handle 95% of industrial applications (can be made out of other materials e.g. VITON, AFLAS, EPDM, than Silicone)
- PTFE Rotor Cups
Made out of special mineral filled with 15% Binding Agent “Wollastonite” which assists friction and wear
FDA approved also
- Housing and Plates
Seal housing and endplates are available in Aluminium, Polypropylene, SS304, and SS316
CINCHSEAL requires Air Purging for better performance
Why we purge air inside our seals
- Create a higher positive pressure in the seal chamber to create a natural air barrier that keeps product out of the seal.

2. The air pressure creates a downward force on the elastomer and an axial force on the rotating seal faces against the stationary faces, which helps maintain a tight seal.

3. Air purge cools the rotating seal faces by reducing the temperature caused by friction.![]()
Seal Capabilities
Temperature: Silicone and PTFE internal parts are good up to 218 C
Pressure:
Up to 28” vacuum
Up to 45 psi (3 bar) operating pressure
Purge seal with 5-7 psi (0.3-0.5 bar) of air above operating vessel pressure for optimum performance
Flow Rate:
Typical flow is less than 0.028 M3/min with air regulator set at 5 psi
Speed: Max. surface speed approximately at 82 m/min (5” shaft dia.@ 200 rpm*)
*We have had a successful case up to 400 rpm.
